Well, almost. Brocky decided that the soldier rank would be superfluous to keep implemented, and it was our goal to bridge the gap between soldier and private on sploder.tk. With an entire board's worth of content from 2013 that really can't just disappear though, something had to be done. If you would like the soldier rank, you are now able to go to your profile settings and under group memberships you may request the rank! Hopefully this is a welcomed resolution.

What can I do with this title anyway
Is it just there so I can say "look im soldier?"

I might apply for it in 1-2 years, even more probaly lmao, since I'm still a newbie here in the forums. If they still exist, of course.

you see a board called the barracks with lax rules and funny posts from nearly a decade ago!

I agree its how it should be now but a big part of the thrill of 2013 was wondering if you were being voted for soldier or not, etc gave the forum a unique feel imo

All of the soldiers hated me so I had no chance.

As much as it really did give that unique taster to the forum, actively anticipating whether and when you'll be chosen or not, at least accepting it for all moves past all that position bias and hierarchy and besides the community's more or less about the same and aged.
I suppose it really takes a discord environment to see all this, doesn't it. Honestly glad we can put the past aside, it's a different era for sploder we're moving in the right direction imo

I'm happy to see this! Even if sploder.tk is "the way forward" it's good to have a bridge between the past and future. I so hated that void I left...
