Don't really know why they don't like that font. I don't think it's ugly. However, Wingdings is the best font ever. Then comes Comic Sans MS

Can't still find a reason why we shouldn't enable HTML to work co-operatively with BBCode.

HALF OF THE WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE IS ABOUT PEOPLE TRYING TO BAN IT.
It's not my idea when some people hate the most beautiful font in the world.

The best font in the world. Seriously, people who really hate this font make me laugh.

This is the truth (blame Google Translate for bad translation)

ANSWER. Are you going to add "Kerbal Space Program" or not? I'm not forcing you to do it, I'm just asking for it.

d002y937, d002kkfk and d002r3i4. If something tells the truth, NoScript does.

Okay I found a simple solution for me: I disabled the forums.sploder.com page with NoScript but not the www.sploder.com page. Seems like 10000truths has one embed game in his signature and mrdragon has three of them.

It wasn't a lot better before though. People usually embedded music for the threads, and it also made my computer choke a lot. But now, when they are in signatures, my computer chokes all the time and that's not a good thing. For people who want to say "just buy a new computer", it's not my side, it's their side.

Nothing really, but the point is that I don't want my comp- toaster to choke for a minute every time I enter a page of a discussion where a person has posted, and that person has embedded Flash in his signature.

That's why before I start using Flash in any way I use Task Manager to adjust the plugin-container.exe:s priority. But the signatures' embed comes out unexpected, and it pisses off, you're not supposed to embed videos or Sploder games to your signature.

General / Re: We need to do something about this

Yeah Chimera is right. I don't want to disable signatures if they just have text or static images, but GIFs look annoying and Flash does something unexplainable.

General / Re: We need to do something about this

I think it might be possible to disable the use of flash in sigs. What annoys me is the people with several animated gifs in their sig. That makes lag for me.
I haven't seen that kind of option. GIFs don't lag for me, but embed almost entirely freezes my browser and causes an enormous amount of lag.

Some people are using embedded Flash on their signatures, and it's pissing my computer, and therefore, myself off. There's at least one who has embedded a YouTube video (hidden of course) and one that even has a Sploder game (hidden of course) in their signature too. There should be a rule that forbids using embed in signatures.

Sincerely,
- Neutralization and his computer-looking toaster

Lol HTML is not history xD As ravicalesalt said, BBCode is converted to HTML, and in fact, all sites are coded with HTML today (the PHP and ASP things are just HTML that includes those languages in some form). HTML is not actually outdated.

I have seen no downsides of switching HTML on to co-operate with BBCode. If you notice any, please say.

It doesn't sound realistic in my opinion. If it's possible, yes, it will be awesome; but something makes me doubt two types of scripting could coincide efficiently in one post.
It would work unless they are nested or something, or maybe it could work no matter what.

I agree. I think we should have a forum option in which a member decides which type of mark-up language he/she prefers. I personally think HTML is less limited, and also more fun to use TBH.
Or just use both, we don't need that option. We could use both inside a same post. It would be awesome.

Because we could just use the BBCode shortcuts to make our coding that much faster.
I wouldn't call BBCode a shortcut in any way. It's practically another type of markup language.

The buttons are different, but the HTML enabling would reduce a lot of confusion. I see earlier threads about putting HTML along with BBCode, imho it's a good idea. (And it's technically possible, as I proved.)

SMF supports HTML technically, in fact, it has an option to enable simple HTML tags from being used by normal users:
Proof

So why it isn't enabled? It blocks tags that can be used abusively and only has tags that could be used in BBCode as well. Enabling HTML along BBCode will reduce a lot of confusion.

You forgot this and also
Code: [Select]
int typingCode() {
 printf("The code tags in BBCode are quite practical, too.");
 return 0;
}
.

Actually, why not. I'll start.

I'll make a site about it.

I was thinking if I'd start making some art out of some of the worst airplane crashes to date. I think I could have the skill to do it.

General / I got a "S-etukortti"
« on: August 26, 2012, 09:49 am »

This is S-etukortti. In Finnish S-Group's shops, I can use it so that products are cheaper. I mostly go to S-Group's shops only, NEVER to Kesko's K-shops (they're very expensive).
