General / We need to do something about this
« on: August 27, 2012, 03:18 pm »
Some people are using embedded Flash on their signatures, and it's pissing my computer, and therefore, myself off. There's at least one who has embedded a YouTube video (hidden of course) and one that even has a Sploder game (hidden of course) in their signature too. There should be a rule that forbids using embed in signatures.

Sincerely,
- Neutralization and his computer-looking toaster

General / Okay just wondering (about HTML in these forums)
« on: August 26, 2012, 03:57 pm »
SMF supports HTML technically, in fact, it has an option to enable simple HTML tags from being used by normal users:
Proof

So why it isn't enabled? It blocks tags that can be used abusively and only has tags that could be used in BBCode as well. Enabling HTML along BBCode will reduce a lot of confusion.

General / I got a "S-etukortti"
« on: August 26, 2012, 09:49 am »

This is S-etukortti. In Finnish S-Group's shops, I can use it so that products are cheaper. I mostly go to S-Group's shops only, NEVER to Kesko's K-shops (they're very expensive).

Btw, it's my own scripting language FakeASM (not fakeasm). And it's awesome.

Why I didn't do this earlier?

This woke me up:
"According to experts, the Apple and Samsung's patent fight's result was a complete victory to Apple."
That came up from the radio.

Yeah, Samsung does a patent infringement of Apple's "patents": "swipe to open", "round rectangles in icons", and that type of stuff, and when Apple is done, it has reserved a lot of money to bribe the judge and the lawyers and also to hire some of the best of them.
It was seen once again, and it's not a surprise anymore. Apple is completely invincible in these cases because they have a lot of money and use it to bribe. :(

It's very sad that this type of corruption emerges. Apple never suffers from any patent infringements, and yes, Apple has done them too. Like Nokia's patents. Nokia has actual patents related to the usage of GSM and 3G systems, as compared to Apple's "patents". All phone manufacturers pay to Nokia to use these patents, but Apple was first, which didn't. The result was the first famous patent infringement in the era of smartphones. Apple never suffered from this, but Samsung did for this right now.

Does it start to sound unfair? I noticed this a long ago.

Some Skype conversation with my friend about the case: (ME, and FRIEND)
FRIEND: okay
ME: it's very truth-like because similar opinions of Apple's patents have emerged
ME: especially their results
FRIEND: oh: "round rectangles in icons" is "patented" to Apple? can you patent design? that's like patenting the blue color and forbidding all ads with color blue in them.
ME: exactly
ME: afaik Apple patented the blue color of iMac
ME: yes, you read correctly
FRIEND: I have seemingly found the way Apple gets money: patent everything you see.
ME: yes

What IRC has which Tinychat does not offer:

* Nicknames can be registered. Goodbye, annoying posers!
* Many channels. No need to many servers, we can have many channels about different subjects
* Easy timebans, /kill, /kick, /ban... a lot more moderation commands!
* Half-op, op, admins... all channel based! Awesome!
* Channel dependent passwords! Think about IRC version of barracks!
* and a lot more

What Tinychat has IRC does not offer:
* Kind of voice chat and video chat lack, but who needs them anyway

Game Hyping / Vee-One
« on: July 12, 2012, 07:47 am »
One of my best games and the newest (real) game after the somewhat 6-month break. (The Maze of Minotaur Easy doesn't count, since it's just a mod of the original version.)

Well, it is a shooter and takes part in an airplane, just like it's thumbnail shows. The game is quite tough and has some amount of health scattered around the playfield.

My user page, so you can see the thumbnail, if you want to
The game itself

I've only covered the game creators, mainsite and level design so far.

The things that are done aren't very perfect yet either. Other parts are still WIP (some articles about common objects).

When the text part is done, I'm making a gallery, for example, all the enemies in a particular game type, and a diagram about how the PPG sensor layers work.

There's many separate threads about changing accounts, some rules that were from threads (Amendments to Sploder Law), Directory of Rules and Guidelines (but isn't really general forum rules), rules about Basic Training guides, about fake e-mails, and so on. Maybe we should combine all of them to a single rule thread (Official Sploder Law) or something that also covers basic forum rules.

RPFG's, Groups, Contests and Forum Games / Wish Corrupter
« on: July 08, 2012, 10:40 am »
~~~^$FFFF Wish Corrupter
How does it work?
Basically, you say that you hope something, and then the person below you breaks it somehow and then continues by hoping something else.
The hope breaks don't have to be realistic. (nor the hopes either)
Rules
Don't be repetitive with your breaks or wishes (this means that don't deliberately use the same breaks or wishes unless they were last used a long time ago).
Do not use excessively long answers (read walls of text) or HTML (excluding simple ones like italic).
Do not post off-topic. If you need to post something about this game instead of posting in this game, please mark it with [OFFTOPIC] at the start of the post.
If you post in the game, you must break AND make a new wish.
No "Wish granted", unless there is a side effect. ("Wish granted, however...") It's called Wish Corrupter for a reason.
Also, this is quite an obvious rule: DO NOT SPAM. Includes blank line spamming
No double posting either.
Note: These rules are in effect since page 2.
Bolded rules are rules which I've seen broken very commonly on page 1. It doesn't matter anymore, so you don't have to edit.
Example
User A: "I hope I could eat an apple"
User B: "Apples are not delivered to your country.
I wish I got a new computer."
User C: "Computers are all sold out."
And so on...
My first wish is:
I wish I could be rich.
