Didnt darut just place those games in himself? I never thought they were worthy but if they were truly voted in then I say keep them in there.

I'm not objecting this to go in the EGL, but it still seems like the creator is too new to determine if something is EGL worthy or not.

Good to see you iron hope all is going well.

I'm leaning towards a no with Cythera just because the creator is still very new and I dont really remember anything that really stood out, also taking into account that I didn't beat the game. So I can't really vote right now. Also a game needs at least a +5 range to be inducted, so a 3 yes and 0 no doesnt quite cut it if we're still doing that.

I'm not a big fan of applying graphics to the plat creator, but I do love the fact that I can copy a level now.

General / Re: Arcade Creator BUG FIX RELEASE
« on: May 26, 2013, 01:54 am »
The one thing I dont understand about this creator, and I am assuming there's not much you could do about this, but I am just wondering why the testing mode in the creator is zoomed in, but when you publish it the map is zoomed out.

No to getting your drivers license. It was funny and all, and quite clever, but I found the game play repetitive and it got a little old for me. It's an impressive creation as far as comedy goes, but everything else seemed to lack for me. It's kind of the same deal with how most feel about Unorthodox. Great story, couldn't have made it any better in my opinion, but it didn't get in because the game play lacked. So in all fairness I feel like this isn't quite EGL worthy either.

I actually prefer it zoomed in. It looks too sloppy and plain when it's zoomed out.

Why is it zoomed in for testing and then zoomed out when you publish it. That doesnt make any sense to me.

General / Possible Cure For The HIV Virus Within Months

Apparently there's a new treatment that has successfully treated patients with the HIV virus. Danish scientists are confident that a cure for the HIV virus may be within reach in just a few months. I found this to be interesting.

I'm doing it on the hardest difficulty (Master which is acquired after beating it) with little health, 2 weak weapons, not crafting plants (useless anyways), with the grenade locater off, with the enemy sight thing off (Where it shows you if they see you or not) and I'm taking bases one at a time, but on opposite sides of the map. So I gotta get to the other side of the map and capture a base without dying or I gotta start over without using vehicles or anything like that. I'm just mixing it up just for fun.

Game Discussion / Re: Some things I've noticed

I have two ideas for platformers that have unique stories to them, but I just dont have the time to make them right now.

What makes an epic game epic? I do think that a well executed revolutionary concept is one thing but that doesn't have to be the exclusive factor. I think that if a game executed any concept, whether it or not it has been used before, in a manner that is brilliant, should be considered.

Since we don't have to pump out x-amount of games into the library, that is good, we don't have to worry about being forced to select a game. However, we should keep in mind that we should consider what is currently being made and what great things can happen out of what has already been made.

That was my thought too. It just seemed like the games were being based on revolutionary aspects only, and I just tried to clarify that games should be judged by overall quality, not just for what they did for future games.

I'll repeat mine because they are actually legit, lol.

I have the most EGL games with 5.
I'm the only person to have at least one game from 3 different creators in the EGL.

Idk about most people but personally for me I can think of 2.

I have the most EGL games with 5 and I'm also the only person to have at least one game from 3 separate creators in the EGL.

I dont know if any of you are watching this show, but it's brilliant and I recommend it. If the season finale next week doesn't disappoint, I'd even say that this is one of the best t.v. shows I've ever seen, if not the best.

Here is my perspective on this.

I honestly feel like it was out of line posting this at all. It's an uncomfortable topic, one that I'm sure many of us have dealt with on a personal level from one time or another, and when it comes down to it, what could we possibly say in a situation like this that isn't just feeding it? I mean yeah, we know it's for the attention and all, but really, we are not the kind of people equipped to handle this. It's not even HIS thoughts of suicide, it's his (real or unreal) girlfriend. This is the kind of thing you take up with her parents, an administrator at her school, the police even, but we can't do anything, and I don't feel right in consoling him here or offering him any advice that will feed this weird unfolding drama. But at the same time, I don't feel like this is something to just ignore, because it is such a personal and touchy subject for me.
Doesn't matter, I'm the bad guy now anyway.

I understand this, but even if this is your thought process, you can still try to imagine what you would possibly do (even if you have to adjust the circumstances so you can actually understand it) and try to help based on that. I agree but it's still good to try to help, even if it is not that helpful.

General / Re: Will Kim Jong-Un destroy USA?
« on: April 20, 2013, 12:22 pm »
It's a weaker nation trying to impose threat on a stronger nation. They will only attack to hurt us before they go down in flames, and this will be a last resort if they feel there is no more hope. Take a rat for example. If there is a rat and a human in a secluded room, and the human is imposing threat on the rat, and the rat fears for its life, what can it do? Sure it can run around for a bit, but it can't get out of the room. So it has no choice but to fight back and hurt the human before it ultimately dies. North Korea would be the rat in this case. It would just want to hurt us before it falls apart or is taken down. They can't take down the United States completely.

What do you expect us to do about it?

I respect you just like I respect everyone here but to me this statement is out of line. Saying nothing at all would have been better. Sure, there's nothing we can physically do in this case, but the least we can do is offer suggestions or at the very least acknowledge that this venting process of letting this out is a healthy form of expressing initial thoughts that may be difficult to do in a face to face manner. I see a lot of people make these comments and I dont understand because we have grown a community here and a lot of people feel comfortable letting their emotions out here as a starting point.

And if you want to talk about the situation you can private message me. I can try to offer help if you wish I just dont like saying it in public.

Apparently NASA has found 3 planets that are slightly larger than Earth, yet are at a distance to a start similar to us, which means it is capable of supporting liquid water, thus it has great potential for supporting life as well. I thought this was interesting. They're saying they are making great progress with this discovery and this could lead to the very first "alien Earth" ever clearly identified.

It's impossible for either to happen. And I can't even see myself choosing one over the other. A society would probably not be able to last over a month under both.

Sounds like a good day to me. The classes not so much but spending time with your dog and friends sounds like a good time.

It was and the classes weren't so bad. Can't complain about anything just got a weekend of work and some fun ahead. And I hope you and everyone else here has a fine weekend as well

The scariest, most terrifying experience I have ever gone through is going from my dad to my mom. I was in my dad for a while and I was just scared as to how I would get along with my mom. But it worked out in the end.

Man I haven't made a game in a while. It's hard to vote on people's styles though because it's usually different which each creator.
