Game: LOZ Search For the Sword: http://www.sploder.com/games/members/tbremise/play/loz-search-for-the-sword-2/

Creator: Tbremise

Type: Physics Puzzle Game

BREAKING NEWS

Really when I first saw this, I had no idea what LOZ was (Yeah yeah, I know...) SO a quick Google search revealed that it stood for.... (dramatic music) LUCKSTER OF ZEBRAS. Nah, just kidding, it stands for Legend of Zelda. And I've never had any fun playing any Sploder LOZ games. It's very hard to replicate a RPG in a physics puzzle game, especially with less than 9 levels. Also, the thumbnail didn't look very exciting to me. But I decided to give it a shot with my bow. (Ha ha, get it? Funny right?)

IT ALL HAPPENED DURING A PLAY

When I first entered the mythical world of this game, the first thing I noticed was the intro. It gave me hope that this game might be a smidgeon of fun. But it wasn't. It was not only boring, but it was incredibly easy and basic for the first 4 levels. For example, the second level (counting the intro) was easy and very straight through. All you had to do was shoot a few little worm things and slip past. That was it. The worm thingeys moved fast, and shooting one was more luck than skill. When you got almost to the entrance of the cave, you would try and push the little pot out of the way. And of course, it HAD to get caught on a corner of a block, and couldn't be pushed. So I had to restart the level. This pattern repeated in almost every level of the game. It seemed you spent most of you time trying to push little pixelized pots in a direction where they SHOULD MOVE, but wont because they get stuck. But you don't die. It's not hard, but frustrating. It's also annoying how Tbremise didn't show any differences between the unpushable pots and the pushable ones, leaving you to try to push every pot to see which one moves. The levels were usually very short, which brought the gameplay down to the ground, because all you had to do was push a few pots, and avoid enemies, and get to the end of the maze. And there's ANOTHER thing to gripe about, almost every level was a maze. Repetition much? The game was extremely easy until level 5 (In face i didn't die once until then), the "Mini boss battle" where the black squares killed you every time. Not everything about the gameplay was bad though. I really liked the arrow shooting mechanic. But even that had flaws, as your arrows didn't always kill what you hit. Yeah, other than the cool arrow shooting, the gameplay was mediocre, if not outright bad.

IT WAS DIFFICULT TO RECREATE THE CRIME SCENE

The difficulty was all over the place. Sometimes it was impossibly hard, and sometimes it was incredibly easy. This constant change of difficulty was very annoying.

POLICE ARE ON THE SCENE

Ok, the scenery in this game went along a retro style, while also using graphics from the LOZ games. I wouldn't be surprised is the graphics were copied pixel by pixel from Legend of Zelda. And I really liked the effect when you got an item, where a graphic would pop up in the center of the screen showing what you got. But almost every level had the same scenery types. It was very repetitive, which could be a good or bad thing. I didn't particularly like it, as seeing the same bland colors every level was boring for me.

EVERYONE IS PUZZLED ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED

There was a noticeable lack of puzzles in this game. The only thing close is the infamous pot pushing. Personally, I think the game could be greatly improved with a few more puzzles. I've had some bad experiences with making puzzles in the PPG, but I think with a little more effort puzzles could make this game shine.

THE POLICE HAVE BLOCKED OFF THE AREA IN CASE OF HAZARDS

The hazards and enemies in this game were very badly placed. Most enemies you could avoid quite easily by running past them, and there were no hazards until the "mini boss battle" where they had those infuriating black squares that would kill you every time. This constant switch of hazards placed where you could easily pass them, and hazards placed where it was impossible to pass could not have been described as a good thing.

THIS CRIME HAD NEVER BEEN COMMITTED BEFORE

Due to the fact that this was a LOZ game, the originality was overall low. The storyline was bland(trying to find a lost sword, wow, so exiting) and the graphics were basically copied off the Legend of Zelda game. They used all the objects and enemies of the Legend of Zelda also. There was very little original content in this game.

THE NEWS REPORTS GOT BAD RATINGS

Gameplay - 1/5

Difficulty - 1/5

Scenery - 3/5

Puzzles - 1/5

Hazards - 2/5

Originality - 1/5

Overall - 1/5

THEN THE CRIME WAS REVEALED TO BE A ZEBRA PLAYING LEGEND OF ZELDA

Overall I thought this game was very bad for such a good game maker. I have no idea how this got on the feature list, and is easily the worst featured game I have seen so far. This game would be ok if it was made by a less prestigious member.

So until next time, adios.

R'VENGE IS SWEET
A Sploder RPFG

DESTROY EVERYTHING IN YOUR PATH

What is R'venge is Sweet?

R'venge is Sweet is a Sploder PVP RPFG which supports VILLAGERPGENGINE3.

How to play: First you must create your character.
Form
Name:
Age:
City Name:
Defender Base Weapons (CHOOSE 1):
Attacker Base Weapons (CHOOSE 1):

BASE WEAPONS:
Sword
Bow
Mace
Lance
Spear

You start out with $500. You get more money by attacking other cities. You protect your city with defending soldiers, which can be bought with $. You start out with 10 defending equipment soldiers(equipped with the base soldier weapon you chose at the start). The same applies with attacking soldiers, with you starting out with 10 and them being equipped with the weapons that you chose at start. Whenever your city is destroyed, you will lose $. Every time you attack another city, you will gain $. If a city is Peaceful, they cannot attack or be attacked.

Attacking:
To attack simply post "Attack city/clan. So for example I wanted to attack a city called DERPVILLE with 40 bow soldiers and 20 sword soldiers I would type "Attack DERPVILLE 40 bow 20 sword." The damage is calculated out of your city's Hit Points, which start out at 100 but get higher the more defensive stuff you buy. If you attack a city that is more powerful than yours, you will lose the battle. Whenever you do battle, you will most likely lose a number of attacking soldiers, based on the strength of the city you're attacking. You can choose how many attacking soldiers you want to attack a city, but you must always use all of your defending soldiers

To buy type "Buy Quantity Item." for example if I wanted to buy 10 Cannons, I would type "Buy 10 Cannons."

R'VENGE IS SWEET RPFG IS NOT YET COMPLETELY DONE, BUT IS OPEN IN BETA STAGE. THE BETA STAGE WILL NOT HAVE NEARLY THE AMOUNT OF STUFF AS THE FINAL VERSION, BUT CAN BE PLAYED.

General / Thank/Smite buttons not appearing. Help!
« on: June 10, 2013, 02:05 pm »
Yeah, I need help. There are NO thank/smite buttons ANYWHERE. I'm not sure what's happening, but... yeah. It's pretty basic, there's just no thank/smite buttons. Can anyone help?

Hey, Magma here. I need your help on my new game, currently in the beta stage. I have no idea how the public is going to take this, so i need YOU to test it out for me. If you would like to test it, PM me and I will send you the link. You will get a free gold award for testing, but only when the game is out. I need dedicated beta testers, not just "Oh, i played the game once, died, didn't give feedback. i want my award!" I need feedback. That is the only way you will get your award.

About the game: It's a platformer. You start out with choosing your class, from either Pyro, Blaster, or Doppelganger. I only have 1 actual level done, so don't expect much. It dosn't have very many puzzles, but has tons of action and never gets boring.

Game Hyping / My New Epic Game!
« on: July 08, 2012, 04:35 pm »
This is basically advertising.

Hi! This page is simply for me to tell you peeps about my game Equinox. I doubt it will get featured, but its cool anyway. It has lots of puzzles and it is also part of an obsticle course. It even has a boss fight! It has been attracting a lot of veiws these couple days, but few of the players have been commenting. I challenge you: see how far YOU can get in this extremely hard game. And here's the reason you should do this: for each level you beat, I'll give yu a gold award! I can't really tell you all about the game here, so try it out! I promise, if you get past the start (which is the hardest part(hey that rhymes)) you will have a blast! And, if you want to know how to beat a puzzle or obsticle, I'll tell you here! I won't do that on the main site! Come on! Play it!
