General / my module choices for next year
« on: March 28, 2018, 06:14 PM »
going into my second year of uni and i had to fill this sheet in by tomorrow night or something afaik but here's the modules I've picked!

Geology - The Dynamic Earth 1: Rocks and Evolution - Semester 2 - 10 credits

Geology - The Dynamic Earth 2: Structure and Microscopy - Semester 2 - 10 credits

Mathematics for Scientists - Multivariable calculus for Science - Semester 1 - 5 credits

Mathematics for Scientists - Vector calculus for Science - Semester 1 - 5 credits

Mathematics for Scientists - Fourier analysis for Science - Semester 1 - 5 credits

Mathematics for Scientists - Mechanics - Semester 2 - 5 credits

Physics - Classical Physics - Semester 1 - 10 credits
Physics - Modern Physics - Semester 2 - 10 credits

basicallyyy same as this year, we operate on filling up 60 credits for a full year, 30 per semester.

out of the others, I can choose to do specific modules in biology, chemistry and geography such as immunology or animal behavior but looking at past exam papers, apparently they involve more essay-type questions and i suck at that lolol

deadline for choices was apparently tomorrow and i just filled it there online so idk how this will settle but hopefully it'll all go well haha

if i can pass physics this year that is, a month left is enough to buy me some time ig

« on: February 09, 2018, 03:36 PM »
...exactly today, I joined this homely place that encompassed a considerable portion of my life, these forums.;u=4734

Some of my memories here might not be good ones, but over the years, the good ones have undeniably been the most memorable imo.

It's just honestly too weird to think that I've made friends with some of you guys longer than I do irl, since my life has always been on the go haha.

I don't want to say I feel old being here, because time always keep running and it should be the least of my worries anyway counting time as an achievement on a game making website that seems any less relevant.
But it's a real pleasure to be here nonetheless.

How've you been man!

It's been a while since I saw you here.

General / Are you a morning or an evening person?
« on: January 26, 2018, 05:09 AM »
For me anyway, I guess I usually prefer the mornings.

This just came up to mind because this morning as I was about to make hot coffee to start my day after a strenous workout, I could see the blue cloudless sky and the sun's bright rays casting itself through the kitchen blinds, and it suddenly hit me as one of those ''feel-good'' moments. Not having to worry about anything, live in the moment, and preparing for a bright new kickstart to the day early as it can get is just simply enriching and satisfying. It's just one of those hard-to-gets that I really wish would just last and happen everyday. To have that sense of paradise.

How do you actually study?

Iíve been meaning to ask for this for a while because honestly Iím struggling to know which method works best for me.

Iíd usually just take notes during lectures and then read them afterwards but Iím really not sure if thatís the way to do it because it will build up soon with assignments and all and eventually Iíll lose track. Because Iím a slow af reader and learner.

Jw lol, how do you kids do it?

Personal Exhibition / Cheap sploder art thread [Art] - Requests Open

Since I've been feeling in the mood for drawing stuff, I knew it'd come to this.

But nonetheless since I don't know what else to think, I decided to showcase it around sploder.

Testing it out for the first time but here's a few I've done already just for kicks.

Geoff watching tv

I'm willing to do more overtime, you can request for one if you want. It doesn't have to be a portrait just like I did with the last one.

but at least it's something to do here while the gameshow is playing slow for awhile

Play here

Since I wasn't around at the time I made this game which was a little over a year and a half ago, I've decided to put this up to speculation.

The game is beatable btw, since I've managed to beat it in 10:19 at the time.

Would love to see what you guys think of it!
Feedback and criticism appreciated.

Honestly even after five or six years, I wouldn't think it would go as far as such a SomethingAwful creepypasta to this lol

Any Thoughts?

tbh I'm not sure if this was spoken up before but at some point in time; if I could close my eyes, legitimately what I would define as living the life is sitting out writing behind a typewriter with a coffee mug on an oak table, while in a wooden cabin in some sort of longass endless coniferous forest on a hot summer's day and probably listen to some hardcore jazz.

lol I'm probably desperate for this to happen because I so am tired of being in college and a city folk lol
but bringing up the 'feel good' factor will kick in my mind eventually

Wbu guys and i probably wouldn't have expected anyone to post here, it's only splodeing new years lol

General / Things you're grateful for in 2017
« on: December 31, 2017, 08:31 AM »
Since 2017 is quickly coming to a halt, might as well.

For me anyway, these are a list of things I'm grateful for happening to me this year.

-Being with friends and family
-still having a place to call a home
-Making it to adulthood
-Passing high school and making it to college
-Able to have time and enjoy playing videogames again
-Hitting the gym for the first time
-Finally being unbanned from the sploder forums
-Buying expensive new beats solo headphones
-still breathing and being able to walk

Wbu guys?

Anyone hyped lol

ik it seems silly jc, but sometimes or (maybe) usually I'm taking the bus or walking to and fro somewhere like college, and there's this beautiful girl walking in the opposite direction and you internally compliment how she looks and you're like 'Good God, what a goldmine', but then it gets off your mind after five seconds, and the whole process starts again when another good looking (or slightly good looking) one comes by within like a five meter radius. Just taking this as an example. But like I'm hetero so idk what's it's like for homos or bis, but yeah js. I've been doing this for years it's been kinda normal to me now. Well I hope it's normal.

probably OT, but anybody else tend to get distracted for some petty things like this

Ever since the reputation that I've had with Beneath The Shadows III which was involved with last EGD, I have decided to give myself some thought and think about ways on trying to improve my game making skills.
The Beneath The Shadows series has always been something that I would strongly propose to, when it comes to releasing my EGD games on a nutcracker. But after sharping my ideas, consulting with many great men who stand very here today to accumulate my thoughts, I am here today to embrace and put a notion to your heart with this one. And then I was playing some platformer by a user on the Mainsite and after a placement of American history and graphics he'd put in to tell the tale, so I've thought, ''Hold a second, what are the odds if I managed to put a place around my games to boost it up further?'' and so I've commenced Plan H. I've even started playing Assassin's Creed more often to aid me with my project. And so I'm going to say to you folks. What about this.. Does any of you wanted to see Elvis Presley in the flesh.. in a game that I will put forward.. would this convince you.. would this attempt to play your mind into a stream of fact and imagination if I do so? To place you in the eyes of an imaginary character who suffers, but his path to consume him on a way that is just? Are you ready to play a game that will be graphic based - mind intriguing, yet a Beneath The Shadows feel behind the theme, a dazzling intro and of course.. a surreal setting?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I plan to accomodate the light of GameFest

There is only one man who can fortune the blade and swiftly restore the power of a once fatherly nation. But time will tell, and this is only the beginning.

;autoplay=1

The year is 1963. Through a whetted knife of isolated pestilence, depression and tyranny on the ferny grounds of consumable gang warfare, justice has blinded.
The tables has been turned. The darkness has arrived. And the cold, raw voice of the commoners that sharply glance at our foes with shock and discomfort in their hearts, ''It prepares them.. for death''. And, only one boy who will rise from the depths from the shadows is soled upon after coming to terms with his brother's loss. Amidst the fear and despair of the mother nation and the journey that sets him about on a sail to redemption, time is on his side.
His name is Carter, the burden of the darkness. He shall bring the light.

LEVEL ONE - A Burden's Memory
LEVEL TWO - Tear of Redemption
LEVEL THREE - A Savior's Fortune
LEVEL FOUR - The Birth Of Darkness
LEVEL FIVE - Shifting From The Plague
LEVEL SIX - My Enemy Is Fear
LEVEL SEVEN - Name On My Grave
LEVEL EIGHT - Let It Be, Brother
LEVEL NINE - The Dawn of Light

 • A place in EGL (??)
 • A feature
 • A place in Gamefest
 • Continual Recognition
 • Improve my game making skills
 • Center the balance between action and dialogue

Almost each and every level will have its own theme which will correlate with its design and scenery.

Most of these are proxy-orientated.
Some of them played a genuine disguise in my part. And others, relations that left ages ago with my intention to go figure in creating their forum account. I suppose I would have rounded up nearly 36K posts in total at this stage, but idk

sorry i manipulated yall btw. Obviously, I never learned.

Opinions? Any ways how to improve? lol. Even if it's just a word or two.. like idk
I made it from scratch, scripted it and sang it if it's any good.
Calling it 'We Are The Light' before anything else rly btw.
Hoping to sharpen it and send in the final draft when I implement it on my Hype Thread btw. My tone is kinda cliche and unoriginal, but yeh
