I only ever play as Tessla sadly, I dont know why it happens for you but it probably is just the Algo creator's fault.
Here's a little video demo of what I meant by different movement speeds for different directions.

Basically, your character moves at full speed when running towards where you are aiming, reduced speed when strafing, and at a snails pace when moving away. This interaction coupled with the camera's behavior when moving at high speeds makes heavy usage of conveyors feel pretty bad.

The game is absolutely gorgeous in person, and the skill cap is pretty darned high.

Audio quality is a little bit more crisp, but you have a lot of background noise and the audio coming in and out was jarring.
Yeah, haven't found any good noise removal filters out there that work with voicemeeter.

I always remembered those games being better than they were lol

That's out of your control. It's just part of what makes algo feel awkward to play.

Play Sato/Tessla and notice how you move quickly when you move towards where you are aiming and really slowly when strafing.

3. What scenes ended up trapping you? I tried to make the game so you wouldn't be able to trap yourself, but of course with so many switches it's hard to really make it 100% free of game-ending situations.
I'll try and replicate a few of the cases a bit later.

I also have never actually been able to not hit the correct switched when on the conveyor (as long as you remain still). Sorry if that happened to you.
Sometimes switches in algo will make a brief clicking noise and seemingly not do anything instead of turning things on and off.

As for the tedious bit, I can't blame you there. That being said, I feel like every 3D game is tedious to play lol
It's the different movement speeds for different directions. It makes everything feel absolutely awful.

I'll get back to this later. Got up to around level 7ish where I messed up blocking the scientist from getting into lava (should've waited to free him).

Current opinions:
1. The game suffers from overuse of conveyors. Many uses of them seemingly serve little to no purpose (will post screenshots of bits later). This greatly reduces the visual quality, performance, and ease of comprehension in the levels.
2. Haven't gotten to the end of course, but the story seems to be largely the self loathing of a certain character.
3. The switch puzzles are pretty intricate, but it's fairly easy to end up trapping yourself or otherwise ending the game prematurely. Mixed in with the weird behavior of when algo switches will/will not trigger movement being at the whim of conveyors almost all the time, and you have a recipe for tedium.

I'm impressed by how interconnected some of the switches are, and a few of the little action sequences were pretty interesting. Buuuuut, I'm having similar issues to many puzzle platformers and similar games where it just feels more tedious than enjoyable.

Given the looming death of Adobe Flash, and by extension the site. I felt that it would be nice to record my previous games and analyze their design and creation (or just tear them to shreds). Starting with my oldest games, and moving onto my newest ones. Skipping over any that have been deleted (with possibly one or two exceptions).

Russian bots actually only have the ability to go on Sploder. They can't go anywhere else. Putin's strategy is really bizarre to say the least.

The final boss in Borderlands: Pre Sequel is pretty easy if you refuse to do sidequests or grind (making you really underleveled for the entire playthrough, to the point where enemies with DOT can oneshot you sometimes).

His attacks are really easy to avoid with a speed+air control Oz kit.

Tried playing a bit of Megaman X a few days ago. Will say that bits have aged super poorly. The zoomed in screen coupled with enemies that respawn the moment their placement goes off screen makes it a massive chore to play.

Also, the art looks really good with a CRT shader.
