Hello old friends
« on: September 30, 2019, 06:06 pm »
Hello. I used to come on this website lots when I was younger. I was active around between 2012 to 2015. I have extremely fond memories of this website. I made lots of games, made great friends and had a good time. I've come back to see how things were going, and I'm sad to see such an impactful website dying off due to FLASH closing. This website inspired me to pursue a career in the game industry. I'm currently in school for CGI, and I'm molding my portfolio into one for video games. Thank you for the great memories, and hopefully this website can get back on it's feet somehow. Maybe a complete overhaul of the website? Maybe some programmers in the community competent with HTML 5 could conjure some new game engines up for a new age sploder? Either way, this was a fairly influential website for many people, and I wish you all the best. Cheers!

i remember you wb. its awesome that sploder inspired you that way, good luck! the idea of recreating some of the sploder creators from the ground up has been talked about before, iirc 10000truths was working on something like that for the platformer but im not sure where hes been or if he still is

Hello there! Long time no see!

You've missed a lot, but I'll catch you up to speed.

Some people got banned (you may or may have not known them; I don't remember all the names; just Cyclone43, Megarayquaza, and shadythecreator), and a lot of people joined and some left.

Recently, a MAJOR thing happened. Last August, liamnight, who was a General (he had been for a long time; well, off and on again (sometimes retired and sometimes not)) deleted ALL of the staff accounts (except Geoff because he's the Admin).

Well, Geoff thought the forums had been hacked, so, he deleted them. Soon afterwards, some people made a new forums, which only lasted for a little while. On that new forum, liamnight came and admitted that HE was behind the deletion of the staffs' accounts.

Now, why? Why would someone who had been a staff member for so many years do that? Simple. He believed the staff had failed in doing their jobs. So, instead of talking to them about it, he went and deleted the accounts.

Anyways, fast forward a bit, and the people who made that forum make a new one, which lasts much longer.

Fast forward to late December of last year, and Geoff finds a backup of the forums he made...which, he made in 2013. It's the only one he has, but it's better than nothing.

So, YEARS and YEARS of things have been lost, but, on the bright side, some were saved, and the official forums was brought back.

That's what Bohobes look like.

Hey man, you went inactive a year before I joined sploder so I don't think we've met. Welcome back!

I remember you! What's up, man?

To answer one of your questions regarding Sploder: Geoff is too busy with his family to convert Sploder to HTML5. He basically has his hands full, which is why he can't invest too much time on here.

There's also Geoff's medical condition where his hands shake and his other job.
