where is lordeldar? :)) I still dont get how I can make this game Feature-Worthy
When I said there needed to be more to the gameplay I was thinking more along the lines of adding more ideas and different types of gameplay. My A to B comment was mostly about the fact it was very smooth getting there with very little getting in my way. Backtracking doesn't really add anything to the gameplay other than drawing out the length of the game. The smashing of the ice blocks was a nice idea but there were also times in that level where I felt that hazards were unavoidable

Hope dis helps

How is any player supposed to figure this out independently? I understand that you are pursuing a simplistic aesthetic, but the shapes could still be more evocative of purpose. It also makes no sense that the red orb is only made accessible once you walk past an otherwise arbitrary invisible threshold.

If form suited function, the player would be rewarded for observing their environment.

While on the topic of visual distinction, the second level featured a dynamite barrel of similar tone to the red used for ALL hazards, which misled me for a few moments. Color is important in guiding the player, assigning one color to a variety of vastly different elements only serves to confuse us, and can easily mislead us, as mentioned earlier.

Oh and backtracking does not count as new content, it's insulting to force the player to fight backwards through challenges they have already conquered, especially in the cramped environments of Cube of the Depths.

Going back through the SAME level is something that should be done when you fail, not when you succeed.

Update on V 1.2:
-Removed backtracking
-Passable walls now have outlines
-Level 4 is now a bit brighter + added red lights
-description altered and edited (make sure to read so the game makes more sense hopefully)

aaand that's it. Notify me if you continue experiencing more problems with the story or the game.

Why make another game that will ruin this great one?

Why make another game that will ruin this great one?

I see where Ethan is coming from. Sometimes, if something doesn't go to plan, it's great to just start from scratch and try again. I know Raft didn't do badly and turned out alright, but that's why I am making Raft: Expansion - because I know it could (and will) be better, leaving for a great sequel. Trying to change up a game to fit certain criteria (which the creator is doing to attempt to get it featured) sometimes isn't the way to go about it. Making it again, with new ideas and a new way of thinking when creating it (while taking into consideration the feedback from this one) could be the way to go in this instance.

That's just my opinion, anyway.

Raft: Expansion

Understood. Also, do you know why the boost auctions are not working?

You can't edit a project without deleting a lot of work. If Finz isn't ready to delete a lot of Cube of the Depths, a sequel would allow him to improve upon the formula while leaving his old ideas and work intact for the public.

I have no idea. My best guess is simply the timer script Geoff set up to restart the boost auction after a game has won is broken, or maybe it was only set to run for a certain length of time before needing Geoff to run it again. Really though, I don't know. :/

I do know that if you are not, you should be glad for it. Due to it not working, Raft currently has been sitting at the top of the Featured List for a week now...  8)

I guess. It's pretty cool, but I also find it unfair, even if it is to my advantage. There are better games out there than Raft that would deserve it more. Moreso, I can't boost Visualize, my latest release, which is causing it to get barely any views. :P
