I wouldn't say that.  Nintendo games are like a continuous beta.  The games keep getting worked upon and worked upon until they have created the product that cannot be built upon any more.  Once they reach that, it's all over for the original games.
For fifty and nine he swam along just fine, a mind that’s trained to see, always would know what goes on inside, goes on in me.

It's stupid, it's just like Halo and Gears of War. The games are awful, but Microsoft fanboys keep buying them. Microsoft is easily the worst of the 3 main console companies.
Pokemon is like Halo and GoW? Dafaq you smoking?

Ravi, your arguments might've been valid if it didn't look like you're comparing Pokemon to other games.

I was stating that your argument could be applied to any of the 3 main consoles. Halo and GoW are like Nintendo franchises in that they are exclusives with many sequels (over a shorter time none-the-less).

I rather like Pokemon and their new games, even if their newer Pokemon aren't that great in comparison to the past Pokemon. I like how the new games expand on the world each generation and maintain the series that I like a lot for its strategic appeal. Maybe I'm just a nostalgia monkey, idk.

My exact argument could not. At least Sony and MS dared to be different in their games. It's not just save the princess, save the princess, collect all the pokemon, collect all the pokemon. Nintendo is a broken record.

I apologize that two letters made you misunderstand my statement. I'll send your English teacher a letter complaining about his or her teaching skills.

Because Xbox is definitely a FPS system. Not a gaming console, but a FPS console. Sense has been made. I guess all those puzzle and indie games can go splode themselves, right?

And no, I was actually planning on buying a PS4, so don't call me a fanboy.

Here is why, Sony's Computer Entertainment division has been hemorrhaging money for that last few years and from the news of the next generation of consoles it seems like they are not really changing course. Microsoft is in a much better position in terms of features/architecture on their next generation of consoles. The things that people on the internet are mainly pissed off by are policy decisions. Policy decisions are easily reversible if it turns out that they really do have business impact it would just be a matter of a software update to fix it. On the other hand, Sony will not be able to add an HDMI in connection to consoles that are already sold. A year down the road they won't be able to redesign their architecture to allow instant switching/concurrent running of full titles and "apps" as their first titles will expect full utilization of the hardware.
The way Microsoft is requiring 100% of their customers to have a broadband connection will allow them to focus on cloud related features in the future. A lot of this stuff will likely not be fully used at launch but 2-3 years down the road it could make a huge difference. They won't have to worry about the 10% of costumers who are playing offline and therefore can focus their efforts to utilizing their Azure cloud-compute platform. Cloud compute is a huge business that Microsoft is already a big player in. On the other hand Sony will be stuck making any feature work on both online/offline and will, in my opinion, never be able to catch up to Microsoft in this space.

The same argument can be applied to Nintendo. Not all their games follow thin storylines, and when they do, they generally make up for it in gameplay.

The architecture of both consoles is very similar except ps4 has better ram (and the OS won't use as much and Xbox one's os is based off of windows 8). Microsoft isn't likely going to change their policy until it is too late based on their current actions. Also, wtf are you smoking? The ps4 has an HDMI port on it (Look for it on this 3d model). Both Xbox One and Ps4 have cloud features (they already announced this ages ago), except the Ps4 won't shove the internet down your neck. Requiring internet would do nothing to improve them except for increasing server load; whoever you heard that from is spitting bolarchy (Microsoft is using it as DRM). Also, consoles rarely require complete redesigns of the hardware, doing so would make previously running games run worse if not at all.

Anyone who thinks Nintendo sucks and Xbox rules is either 12 or mentally disabled. True story.
