Please be more specific. I cannot replicate the bugs you've mentioned.

Game: Broken Darkness
Type: New

It seems that if there is a graphic block in the first level, the next will have graphics.

I don't know what you mean. Please tell me exactly what you mean by "the next will have graphics".

Quote
EDIT: Now NO graphics are working at all. Although, I've noticed the weapons become 8-bit-ized like you intended, but the texture for the monster stays the same. And the blocks-disappearing thing is happening again.

What do you mean by "Now NO graphics are working at all"? Which object had a graphic applied to it? What level?

Which blocks disappeared? What level? Were you testing the game or did they disappear in the creator? Can you still collide with them?

I opened and tested your game and did not notice any bugs, although I did not see any graphics applied. Perhaps that's what you meant by "no graphics working" But, tell me what was expected to happen and what actually happened.

Finally, make sure you've cleared your browser cache and that you are ALWAYS using the beta link and NOT the old creator.

1. I mean the next level will have graphics if the first one does. I tested, and this is not true.
2. By no graphics working at all, I mean the tile stays the same when a graphic is added, the enemy, the player, whatever else. It stays the original texture. Both levels so far have this problem. The graphics bar itself works.
3. All blocks I applied graphics to disappeared. They disappeared in testing. You can collide with them and they are visible in the creator.
4. I loaded and reloaded all objects with graphics twice, and the third time I just left them with no graphics at all. I was hoping you could help.
5. I have the link favorited and use it every time. Cleared my cache like five times already, and it didn't work. And if I had used the old creator, the graphics bar wouldn't have been there.

Hmm. can you save the game in a state where the error is happening? That way I can log in and test. Reason being is that I tried applying graphics to your game, "Broken Darkness" and had no problems.

Perhaps if you added one graphic at a time and tested, we could narrow down at which point the error happens.

Once you encounter the error, save the game and I'll look at it.

Thanks for helping me track down this obviously pesky bug.

We're getting close! I just need to track down this bug reported by Vexation, and think about how to handle scaling of character heads.

Thank this post if you are actively using the new creator now to make a new game with graphics.

I will be soon, I'm just waiting for all the bug fixes to be ironed out since I'm going to be working on a game that uses a glitch that I cannot lose. xD

EDIT: I can't wait, I'm working on a game using graphics already. Time to let free my inner artist who has never received praise on anything he has ever drawn! Huzzah!

I've found a tiny bug with how Thor's act, it's hard to explain a bit, they refuse to get too close to doors making a kinda barrier for the player to abuse. You can try it on my game Lectred Z Reborn. I have them textured but I don't know for sure if that causes the effect or not.

I don't like graphics in the platformer tbh It's becoming a lot similar to the PPG. I like it with just the basic graphics.

Please if you don't like it don't use it, I'm sure Geoff just like the rest of us doesn't want to hear pointless whining. By no means am I trying to be mean or anything, but those kind of things are better left unsaid.

Guys for the love of Geoff, if you DON'T like the graphics then DON'T use them. Simple as that.

It's not just that, I don't want so many other people using them so that the old platformer creator we know and love has become obsolete.

I bet someone already made a game where you kill an army of sceptile or something.

You are looking over the plain fact that this update DOESN'T change the actual game, all it does it put pretty colors over it.

Not everybody knows how to use the ppg well, not to mention the platformer is capable of having more gameplay. It's a give take.

Personally, I love this update; it is a sign of future customizing to come to the plat!

Here's a compilation of all enemy types to show proportions:

From left to right:
-George
-Thor
-Snarly
-Thug
-Ninja
-Bat

From left to right:

-Probe
-Firetroll
-Skelly
-Mongol
-Kikuchyo
-Archie

From left to right:
-Native
-BigMutant
-Mutant [strong]
-Mutant [weak]
-EnemyMech

From left to right:
-BigRobot
-Robot
-Rocky
-Minion
-Mercenary
-Native

I hope this helps gauge the proportions of foes, at least show the ones that may need some modifying to be more "graphic friendly".

Excellent compilation. What does everyone think? Should I scale the heads up and down with equal proportions so they change size but don't stretch? I don't mind the body changes much, although the hands can get a little whacky.
