Oh, I see.  So if you go out of the pattern, the pixels outside won't show up on the enemy/player?

If you go out of the blobby area, the pixels will still appear. So you could do stuff like hair or antennae or tentacles or whatever. If you go out of the line, the pixels will appear on the adjacent body part. Hope that's clear.

I like how one of the hands of the firetroll gets bigger where the cannon is.

Check out my enemy sprite:



It's meant to be a golden demon, but for what future game I use it in it won't be EGD since the last time I game switched it didn't work out well.

But why does the player head stay in the starting position like that now?  Is that intentional?

I don't know how to clear Chrome's cache. I tried running "Cleanup" but it doesn't say "Copyright 2013". I used to know how to clear it, I think, but I forgot.

Could you tell me?
Go to menu-->tools-->clear browsing data-->click on clear browser cache-->click on okay or clear or whatever there is....

Can you try setting the pattern to mech and then setting it to none and then republish and reapply the graphic in the platformer?

It appears that your graphic isn't being cropped down and I'm wondering if perhaps the pattern got stuck.

Ummm.... whenever I try to go to the new graphics editor, it comes up with this: Firefox can't find the server at "http. So basically, I can't get to the graphics editor.

@Omega - it appears that ALL graphics are cropped to SQUARES. This is something that I had not considered when it came to long, thin objects like doors. I will have to think of a way to handle this. Perhaps I can crop those items automatically.

Okay, I've pushed a new version of the platformer creator and game that will do the following:

If an object is very tall or very squat, then the graphic will not be squeezed down to fit. It will be size to normal proportions and cropped to fit the bounds of the object.

When I apply this graphic to the ninja, this is what I intend it to look like:


However, it comes out like this:


The green and white square isn't supposed to be in the middle. Did I do something wrong?

I have the same problem as matty. When I put the graphics on a ninja, the square on the body appears. ???

Nope, that was a bug which is now fixed. You may need to clear your browser cache to see the fix though.

Geoff, once all these updates are done, you should take a nice break and enter in EGD just for fun. You really deserve a break after working so hard on all this stuff, and I think it would really be interesting to see how you would fare against other members in a competition c:

I think probe and bat work just fine with the no pattern option. I think Hovercrafts don't have graphics support... yet. ;)

When I apply a graphic to the thor, it is slightly squashed.

EDIT: It also happens to archie, kikuchiyo, rocky and firetroll.
