So, my girlfriend almost committed suicide a night ago

Woke up yesterday to a suicide letter she texted me. I was freaking out, trying to call and text her all yesterday. She.luckily didn't. It gave me such a scare, but all week she's been bullied really bad and she couldn't take it. She decided not to because she couldn't bare doing it to me. :/

She says I make her happy and her inspiration, but I can't believe she was almost taken out of my life already.

I try to help her, try my hardest. But, since she suffers from depression and trust issues, it's hard.

Next time I see her, I'm going to give her a big hug and kiss and tell her how much I care and love her, and how I would hate to lose her and how she means the workd to me.

The text, her last message she was going to tell anyone was an apology to me about how she is sorry she us a bad girlfriend, that she is sorry she doesn't talk to me much, and that she is ugly etc so in the morning panicking I told her that she isn't, she is my angel, she is beautiful, how lucky I am to have her and how proud I am of her etc

I respect you just like I respect everyone here but to me this statement is out of line. Saying nothing at all would have been better. Sure, there's nothing we can physically do in this case, but the least we can do is offer suggestions or at the very least acknowledge that this venting process of letting this out is a healthy form of expressing initial thoughts that may be difficult to do in a face to face manner. I see a lot of people make these comments and I dont understand because we have grown a community here and a lot of people feel comfortable letting their emotions out here as a starting point.
