I understand what that guy said now, and I'm ready to be sacrificed if God wants me to be.
Wow lol

The story of Abraham.
That's what I said, Abraham and Isaac, but it was just a test, as stated in the New testament children are valued by God far more than adults.

You don't know what you're saying.
I do, contradictions are not plausible in any sense. I can even qoute a lot off the top of my head.

Correct, but what I am saying is that he would. Isaac was lucky, you may not be so.

It's because I'm right. You don't understand. If your words were projected into the church screen... then we'd...

forgive you.

I don't quite see how you got to 'The Bible tells you to sacrifice your children' from a parable about Abraham. That's a bit like saying that the Bible tells you to 'throw troublemakers into the mouth of a whale' because that's what happened to Jonas.

Yes you do. Any explanation for why God contradicts itself?

I was talking about Old Testament as before Jesus Christ was killed, it was common practice to sacrifice your children to God. But I realized that there is no actual Bible reference,

Who are you talking about? Abraham and Isaac were both devote followers.

You don't understand and I'm just not going to try any more. You don't believe and I respect that but I'm tired of you not acknowledging the fact that I'm trying to help you. I forgive you. End of.

No please, I beg of you, you would be doing much more good if you actually explained why an omniscient being would contradict itself.

Along with this, the bible contradicts itself over and over again, and even does stupid things like mention the 4 corners of the world. (Mentioned by God).
Ah, the old take-a-quote-out-of-context trick. In this sense, 'four corners of the earth' does not literally mean the four geographical corners of the world.

He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
Of course, given the sheer number of versions of the Bible, this isn't word-for-word for all Bibles, but all of the Bibles say this to some effect in Isaiah 11;12. Anyhow, it is clear here that the expression 'four quarters/corners of the earth' means 'from around the world'. The expression is being used metaphorically, not literally.

Almost anything can be made to sound stupid if you take it out of context. What is important is that you understand how the quote is being used.

Doesn't work that way. We don't hide behind science, we use our brains to figure out how the universe works. What we find out is called Science. If anything, we hare hiding behind ourselves. Which is perfectly reasonable.

So based on that logic, we can trust in humans. 'Cause humans have NEVER been wrong.
