What being a MSM means to me: its super important. after i joined this site. i always wanted to be an MSM and to help this site. i always wanted to become a my moderator but they wouldn't let me. but i know its in my blood and i believe i can become a fantastical MSM.
Write a list of what powers a MSM has, what each power does, and in what situations you would use them in:
there are many things a moderator can do.
banning users: moderators can ban users if they sweared bulied or made other users mad. they can ban usrers if they  had broken rules too. but they must find evidence to prove that they are guilty. banned users cant talk.
deleting comments:if moderators found a comment that has swear words or with splode they can delete it.
comment warning: if a user was doing something wrong moderator can comment to give them a warning.
warning members: if user has broken a rule for the first time or sweared for the first time they can be warned.
quarintaining a user: makes the user being watched by other moderators.
blocking games and graohic: if a user's game is offencive or the graphic has a bad content thay can be deleted.
reporting users: this lets other moderators know if a user is doing something bad.
moderators can enter to MSM pannels: moderators can check the latest bans a warnings.
flagging a game:  moderator can show a game to geoff. and geoff can delete that game if he please.
i can become a moderator i know it.

What being a Main Site Moderator means to me:

Being a Main Site Moderator means a lot to me, saving Sploder and Community to be a better place. I see many inappropriate games, graphics and comments and none of the other Moderators see them or give them a warning. It is a great job for me and I will try my best to do it. I see every day the latest comments, newest members on the Forums and newest games to check there is no inappropriate things and maybe alt account. I know almost everything about Sploder. I am mature, friendly and also good at using all the programs and Moderator things. The MSM is the best thing to face with them who break the rules and give them reports.

Powers:

MSM job may look like a hard work but it's not for me. Moderators has different powers such as IP check, check reported posts or games, give them a warning if it is the first time they made it. Each of them has a way to use it. Some of them are:

IP Check: This is a great way to find a member who is banned before and now is using an Alternative account also you can check if he/she is hacking.

The Moderation Panel: All the Moderators can see The Moderation Panel. This panel shows all the reported comments, so I can use it to see if they are breaking the rules and after I determine it, I take action.

Warnings: Every one may do something wrong on this site but there are many of them such as spamming comments and emotions, advertising a game or a website. Warning is a great way to warn them to not do that anymore and give them a reason why he/she is warned. This might be a helpful way to learn them how Sploder works.

The Hack Log: The Hack Log is useful to see who is hacking trying to log into somebody's else account. A Moderator should use the hack log when a hacking is taken place. It shows the date and time when they tried to log in.

Perma Ban: You can't do nothing if you are Perma Banned. You can Perma Ban someone if he keep repeating the same mistake.

Disable and Enable comments:
Sometimes you can give him a warning and don't allow him to comments for a short or a long time.

Block Graphics:
There are a lot of users which makes Sex graphics. This Website is full of children so to make sure that no one see this graphics, Moderators can block them.

Banning: You can ban someone who break the rules listed above. After 2 warnings you have to ban him.

Restoring Games: This is the right place when somebody who accidentally deleted a game, Moderators can see the comment here, trying to restore them by knowing their name or just seeing deleted games from that user. Sometimes games can't be restored so it is better to tell to them that the game can not get restored.

Spamming & Flaming: When somebody keep posting a lot of smileys or random words/letters this is called Spamming. Flaming is another problem which happens to two or more people with different opinions. As their opinion are different, they start a flame war. By doing this, they can use inappropriate words. This is the right time to remove the comments or give them a warning.

Delete Awards: This is another power that a MSM has. You can delete awards which contains on their description inappropriate words or rule breaking.

Note: I edited my MSM application so if you think I haven't changed it, you are wrong. Read it again. I am happy that Milking and Tommy got the MSM badge. Congratulations to them. If you think I am ready for it you can thank this post and feel free to correct some of my words. Just to let you know, I am almost all the day on Sploder so it will not be a big problem for me.

Good luck to the others.
Nothing is impossible for me, because nothing is impossible.

What being a MSM means to you: Being a mainsite mod means a lot to me. Sploders given me a lot over the years I've been here and I finally decided I wanted to give something back. What better way than to make it a more friendly place for the countless new users who join sploder every day? It also means helping. Any of you on the forum who have seen me for long enough know this is not something I usually do. However, on the forums I have expectations after spending more time on it than on the mainsite. So I know what can happen on the mainsite and I believe it is the job of a MSM to help the newer people and make it a safer place for the young kids that join. It also means to educate and help. I remember when I was a noob I needed that help and guidance, and seeing as I joined before MSM's were introduced, I realise just how much they are needed. MSM's need to teach the new people what is right and wrong on this site and what everything on this site does and what the jobs are.
Write a list of what powers a MSM has, what each power does, and in what situations you would use them in: Long list coming up:
Viewing reported comments: MSM's can see comments reported by the general population. These appear on a place called the moderation panel. Mods read the reported comment and see if any of them break the ToS. You would probably use it every time you moderated as it is the most used thing the general population of the mainsite can do when they see a comment they believe breaks the rules.
IP Checking: IP checking is when a mod can see the IP address of a user. This is like their digital address and allows people to find the location of a user and more importantly for MSM's, allows them to check if a user had an alt. This would be used if a member had broken the the rules and been banned, and to check if they had any alts. If so, their alts would probably be watched and if it was a serious offence the alt might be banned immediately.
The Hack Log: The hack log tells mods when someone has tried to access an account, the date the person tried to access the account and who's account they attempted to access. If someone does get onto an account and tries to change account details, it would appear on the hack log. Mods would use it when trying to track down hackers and give people their accounts back.
Warnings: Warning is what mods do to people who make an offence that is not ban worthy, and to educate people about what they did wrong and what would happen if they do it again. These warnings go away after 3 months. Mods would use these when they see a reported post or a something that breaks the ToS that isn't massively bad and try to educate people about what was wrong with what they did.
Banning/IP Banning: Banning is what a mod can do when they see a user make multiple offences or a large offence. A banned user cannot post or make awards. IP banning is what a mod can do when they see multiple users under the same IP breaking the rules. An IP ban bans all accounts under that IP address. It would be used only under the most extreme cases, like Sceptiles.
Graphic Moderation: Moderators can, amazingly, moderate graphics! This is were they block graphics that are inappropriate, e.g pornographic graphics. Moderators would use this when they find a graphic that breaks the Terms of Service.
Award Administration: This is where Moderators can delete awards. They would use this when they found inappropriate awards and spam awards.
Game Restoration: Moderators can restore peoples games. Mods would use this when a member contacted them and asked for a game they had published with less than 30 views that they accidently deleted and want to get back.
Define spamming and flaming: Spamming is when a member sends messages/awards at a stupid amount at a fast rate. They could post hundreds of pointless messages on a single game or group or on a members page. Award spam is when a member sends loads of awards to a single person, possibly with something offensive written on them. Game spam is publishing the same gam over and over again to level up quickly. Flaming usually evolves from an argument and contains messages of members being nasty to each other, often using offensive words that could be considered racist or discriminatory. Other times the words could just be swears.

If I were to be a moderator, I would help to keep sploder safe, and at an appropriate level for the large amounts of children that use this site. I Think I would be a good choice for moderator, because of my large desire to help others. And I hope that I have shown that I am ready for the title of moderator. I would do my best to help to help all the members of the mainsite, and use my powers appropriately.

What being a moderator means to me

I wouls love to be chosen for moderator for many reasons. The first being that this was the badge, I had alsways wanted the most. And I've always had a healthy desire to help others on the main site, as seen through my little group I had on there, to protect sploder haha. I thought it was so big and strong at the time, however, when I had found a bully, I had to wait for a moderator to reply and take action. Which, of course, if I had been moderator myself I could have taken action immediately, and prevented any more harm coming. But I just had to wait for the other mods to see my post, which could have been lost in a sea of other requests. So, to help others, and to be a respectable member of the sploder community, as well as to be a role model for the newer members. is what being a main site moderator means to me.

A moderators powers

Warning

If the moderator has found an offending member, he will give him a verbal warning. this will hopefully prevent any other offense from this member.

Banning

If the offending member has ignored previous warnings, and continued to break the rules in whichever way, the moderator must ban him. This means he cannot post any more messages, but can still make games.

IP check

If the moderator suspects a member of being an alt of a previously banned member, to get around the ban, or the member thinks he has been hacked, the moderator can check the IP adress of that member. This will show either if that member is an alt, or whether another member has been hacked, and by who.

IP ban

If the offender has been banned, but made an alt to avoid the ban, and continued to offend, the moderator must IP ban him. This means he cannot post, and he cannot make ANY more accounts.

Flagging games or accounts to geoff

If there is a banned user, or innappropriate game on the main site, he will flag them to geoff for deletion.

Define flaming and spamming

Flaming
Flaming is hostile and insulting interaction between sploder members, often involving the use of profanity.

Flaming is frequently the result of the discussion of heated real-world issues such as politics, religion, and philosophy, or of issues that polarise subpopulations, but can also be provoked by seemingly trivial differences.

Spamming

Send the same message indiscriminately to (large numbers of recipients) on sploder. For reasons either to advertise, or to annoy.

                                                      Final note

I truly want to be a moderator, because I think I am ready. I have a healthy desire to help people, and hope that other people see this. Thank you very much for reading this, and good luck to the others.

What being a moderator means to me:

Being a moderator would mean a lot to me. In the past, I have seen many members been bullied or tormented, and I could not do anything about it. Sploder is targeted for young children, and inappropriate games, messages, and graphics would not be a good thing for them to see. Moderators can stop this from happening. If I could become one, I would use my moderator powers wisely. Without moderators, Sploder would not be a fun website like Geoff wants it to be. I have always admired moderators, and I would love it if I could help out.

Powers, what they do, and the appropriate situations to use them in:

Warning: If a user has broken a rule, such as spamming, insulting, advertising, and using naughty language, a moderator can give that user a warning, telling them what they have done wrong. When the user logs in, they will see the warning. Hopefully, this will prevent the user from breaking anymore rules. Moderators can also post on a user's profile if they are slightly breaking a rule. This is called a verbal warning.

Ban: If a user continues to do the same stuff that got them warned, that could result in a ban. A ban is when you lose your privilege of writing comments. Also, creating inappropriate graphics or games, rude/insulting messages, bullying, could also result in a ban. Hopefully, that would teach the member to get their act together and obey the rules, so no more trouble would be caused.

IP Banning/checking: Moderators have the ability to IP check a user. An IP address is a numerical label given to each device that uses Internet Protocol for communication, such as a computer. Therefore, if two users have the same IP, the moderators know that the users are the same people or use the same computer. If a user is banned already, and the moderators are suspicious of another user, the moderators are able to check that user's IP to see if they are the same user. If it is, the moderator, will use an IP ban, which I'll get to later. Also, if a user claimed that they were hacked, moderators can check if the account was being accessed from a different IP address.

Flagging: Moderators have the power to flag a game, if it has inappropriate content. This game will later get deleted by Geoff, if he decides to.

Restoring a game: If a user has deleted a game on accident, or a hacker has, moderators have the great ability to bring the game back, if it does not contain inappropriate content.

Quaranting: If a member is making graphics or games that break the rules, writing rude comments, etc., moderators can make it so that all moderators can keep an eye  on that user.

Mod panel/Hack log: The moderator panel is a place that moderators have access to, which shows the latest bans, warnings, reported content, and blocked IP addresses.
They can access the hack log, where they can see where each member logged in from, and how many times it took them. They can also IP check members, and see possible game spammers.

Perma ban: A perma ban, short for permanent ban, is given if a user has broken the rules many times even after they were warned, and banned. The account can not be accessed ever again.

Defining flaming and spamming:

Spamming: Spamming is the act of posting something obnoxious repeatedly to get attention or disturb others. This is a problem on the MS, where smileys are used inappropriately.

Flaming: The act of sending nasty messages, that are rude and offensive, which leads to the trading of insults between users. Soon, if enough people start flaming, it could turn into a flame war.

Final notes:

Being a moderator is a great responsibility. Sploder needs to be a fun-for-all place that users can enjoy, so it should be that way. Thank you if you have read this whole application.

Did I copy yours? :o
Take off your shirt, rub yourself with honey and run directly into a bee hive. You'll definitely become a mod this way. :-)

Hello, Luca1673 here today I am going to tell you what a being a Moderator means to me...

It means being an assistant of the site and and deleting the inappropriate things that members do because there are a lot of children in this site and it is not nice for children to see things like that. I'm a 8 year-old child myself

Banning
Moderators Ban members if they do inappropriate things on Sploder.e.c.t. Splode! That is not very nice. Once I got banned for swearing so I never did it again. If you are banned, your ban might be for 2 weeks or 1 month.

Warnings
If you are warned It means you did something rude. If you get 2 warnings you get Banned for 2 weeks or 1 month.

I.P Blocked
If you get I.P Blocked that means you have Bypassed 2 warnings and 1 ban. Sceptile was I.P blocked because he made a alt account called GhostSceptile. Here is the link:http://www.sploder.com/games/members/ghostsceptile/

Flaming
Flaming is when you post mean comments to them that threaten the member who received the comment it can be anything that can hurt the members feelings.

Spamming
Spamming means keep posting the same comment that is rubbish and annoys the member.

That is how I feel being a Moderator and I hope I am one of them in the future.
Thank you for reading! ;)
