That has happened to me, once or twice. But that was when I was young when I wasn't interested in girls, not my age now ;3

I have had a REALLY GOOD dream once including a girl...

Actually, it's funny that you mention this. I actually suffered from sleep paralysis last night.

I could not sleep last night because of how bad my ear hurt. I finally fell asleep at 3:30, but it was awkward. I lifted the covers, saw a boy like figure standing at the end of my bad, then kinda layed back down, woke up, and I could not move a muscle, fell back into sleep for a little bit, woke back up, and I could move again, and it had only been a half and hour. Perhaps the sleep paralysis was actually part of my dream, but I dont know. One of the signs of sleep paralysis is the feeling that someone is watching over you, and I saw a man like figure so I assume I had it, lol. Probably because my sleep pattern was hindered due to the extreme pain I had last night.

Sleep paralysis is harmless. It's not concerning since I dont have narcolepsy. I think it was just because of the pain, I probably just woke up while in a specific stage of the sleep cycle.

It's almost a euphoric feeling when you wake up actually. It might have just been a lucid dream. Maybe it was not sleep paralysis. Idk. Last night was just weird because of my ear infection.

I remember when I used to lucid dream when I was younger. I had this dream (it migh've been more of a nightmare) were I was in a grey room with purple light. There was a single closet door, nothing else. Then I could hear a gutteral sound and a shadow of a beast. It freaked me out so bad I realized I was dreaming and all of a sudden MADE myself wake up. Sometimes when I did that, though, I would just wake up into an entirely different dream, but I was in my room, so I THOUGHT I was awake.

With some of my newer, rarer lucid dreams, some grown-ups are terrorizing me and my friends, and I get so defient I start cussing 'em out.

An easy trick is to look at your hands before you go to sleep and say "I will dream about..." for a half-hour or until you feel so tired you cannot continue.

Lucid Dreaming is like trying to grasp an oiled bar; its hard to maintain lucid dreaming. I find myself able to become AWARE of my dreaming but the main problem is that I cannot focus my thoughts to what I want them to be. Becoming aware of dreaming is the first step, but to completely control a dream is something else, seeing how my longest duration was for about 10 seconds it felt. I was flying through the air at free will and it was one of the most glorious dreaming experiences of my life.

First of all you need to become aware. To do this there are several ways. One method I did was start a dream journal and record my dreams as soon as I woke up. Before I went to bed I would make a conscious effort to remember to remain conscious in my dreams and make sure of it. Once you become aware the next step is focusing... when merely comes with practice. I have recently began meditating so focusing my thoughts are now a lot easier than it used to be, but thats personal opinion.

I have heard that if you lay down for about 10-20 minutes, and don't fall asleep and don't move, you'll lucid dream? Something like that, is it true? Like, it tricks your body that your asleep but your brain isn't?
