Plot synapses [spoilers for Grandquest here]: After Thor was killed you were celebrated as a hero, you had a large home but lived quite modestly, however one day a large temple looms over the country and begins to turn the sky red and the lands barren, Dracos are beginning to appear in huge numbers and to make matters worse, your eternity crystals have been stolen, you need them to prevent whoever stole them from keeping them from you and preventing you to go through the temple's barrier or even worse, revive Thor. It is up to you to return everything to once it was and figure out how/why whatever is happening is happening.

Description: I play through and talk a little about GrandQuest Darkest Hour, enjoy. Note that I am skipping about half of what the game has to offer, about 60% of it is exploration (Level 6 is 60% exploration). Also note the distinct lack of lag, extra action, bigger focus on plot, higher level of detail. Also note that the final version will feature fewer lives, they are simply there to make it easier on the beta testers. Btw, I messed up when saying that this game is more linear, I meant to say that it is more exploration based and thus a little shorter if you only do what is required.

Azure was shorter then GrandQuest, 17 min (15 min speed running) vs 30 min (20 speedrunning), I am attempting to make the players explore to survive, that way speed-running has less impact, I am aiming for a length about the same as GrandQuest in a normal playthrough, 20% longer for a complete one, and 20% shorter for a speed run.

I drew it using Pdn, though the "darkest hour" subtext was made using a generator.

I assumed it was a dagger.
I made it to the scale of what is shown in the platformer creator. If it was real life proportions it would be a short sword (assuming the handle is 6 inches long, then the blade would be approx 2 feet).

This game may not be entered in EGD (if its game release data is 7/1/2012 then it will be in), it has a set release data of one year after GrandQuest, I think the third one will have a 7/1/2013 release date.

See, the EGD competition this year will be intense. Last year, there was hardly anything. I was a rookie to Sploder at the time, so I didn't do particularly well. Grandquest kind of won by default.

There was some competition, Aracluphobia (score: 93), Ghost (Score 91), Legend of Ganondorf (score: 95), and a good variety of games in the 80's

I think it stands a good chance considering that GrandQuest 2 will likely not be in EGD.
